Lot 25 of 364: A 16th Century North European Infantry breastplate of early peascod form, possibly Italian, of one piece construction with supplementary shallow waist lame, roped neck, raised medial ridge, the whole with good traces of thick black paint and gilt borders. Various later mounting holes about the shoulders and medial ridge split at the junction with the skirt.
