Lot 321 of 855: A LATE 15TH CENTURY ITALIAN CELATA OR SALLET, the single piece skull drawn up to a raised medial ridge, four lame articulated neck guard, scalloped face reinforce, the whole with domed brass rivet and pyramidical brass rivet decoration. While the skull itself is original, with some restorations, the neck guard, face reinforce and liner are new replacements, all of which are removable.
