Lot 61 of 714: A 19TH CENTURY INDIAN KATAR, 24cm fullered blade with armour piercing tip, chiselled in the broad fuller with elephants and a horseman, highlighted in gilt, characteristic hilt with dual balluster grip, decorated with scrolling foliage and flower heads, traces of gold highlights, contained in a fine pierced and chiselled steel scabbard decorated with scrolling foliage and flowerheads and with gold koftgari highlights.
