A FINE 18TH CENTURY PUNJABI INDIAN SILVER HILTED KHANDA OR SWORD, 77.5cm reinforced damascus blade, swelling towards the tip, the reinforcing straps finely shaped and decorated with scrolling foliage and flower heads, circular piercing to the crest of the forte straps, characteristic hilt with pierced and beaded guard, the scrolling knuckle bow and dished disc pommel decorated to match, the latter with domed foliate boss with short bud finial, contained in an associated cloth wrapped wooden scabbard.
