Lot 47 of 486: A SCARCE .44 CALIBRE SIX-SHOT PERCUSSION FREEMAN ARMY REVOLVER, 7.5inch sighted two-stage barrel stamped with the manufacturer's details on the sighting rib, plain cylinder and frame retaining good traces of blued finish, the trigger guard and rammer stamped with the serial no. 785 and the letter S, two-piece plain wooden grips. This represents one of the scarcer American percussion revolvers with an estimated 2000 having been made, some of which may have been used during the American Civil War.
