A GEORGIAN INFANTRY OFFICER'S SILVER MOUNTED SPADROON, 80cm blade decorated with scrolling foliage and a stand of arms to either side all highlighted in gilt on a faded blue ground, characteristic D-shaped hilt with looping sideguard and stepped pommel, reeded ivory grip, contained in its releathered silver mounted scabbard. Hallmarked London 1778 and with maker's stamp for Francis Thurkle.
