Lot 189 of 367: A 1912 Pattern Cavalry Officer's sword, 87.5cm blade etched with scrolling foliage, crowned GVR cypher, crowned Royal arms, a laurel wreath and owner's initials R.C.G, regulation plated steel hilt, stepped plated pommel, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its field service scabbard. Some patination to blade, speckling to plating and lacking from inside bowl, scabbard toe worn.
