Lot 136 of 367: A brass hilted late 17th Century English Officer's Broadsword, 80cm tapering blade with short central fuller incised within with a talismanic date of 1414 and the running wolf emblem just beyond the fuller, to either side, characteristic brass hilt composed of a principal D-shaped knuckle guard with two scrolling side bars and two solid sideguards with foliate decoration to the underside flanking a stylised grotesque mask, ring-turned spherical pommel, later wood grip.
